What is your function/role within Shopmium ?

I am Guillaume DURAND, Director of Shopmium Belgium and France, an application that modernizes the concept of discount coupons on mobiles. I manage a talented and motivated team of nearly 50 people based in the two countries and made up of a wide variety of profiles: sales, marketing managers, developers, project managers, etc.

My objective is to give the teams the tools and resources to achieve our ambitions, to ensure good communication between the different departments and to identify the growth levers that will allow Shopmium to remain the leader in its market.

Can you summarize Shopmium’s business ?

Shopmium is a free application that offers exclusive discounts on everyday products that can be purchased in shops or online. With over 600,000 downloads in Belgium (and over 10M in Europe), the app allows consumer brands to gain awareness, generate sales and obtain information about their consumers.

Each week, by simply taking a photo of their receipt, users can save over €50 on all departments (food, hygiene, home care, etc.) with offers of up to 100% reimbursement. The app works in all physical and online stores and the refund is made within 48 hours directly to the user’s bank account. 1 in 3 consumers re-purchase products tested on the app.

What is the feature you use most often ?

The weekly movement tracker is very useful. It allows us to find the movements that take place each week and thus to keep our organization charts up to date, which is not always easy given the number of companies and contacts we work with each year. A move is also often the right time to initiate a contact to help the new marketing/media manager understand the solutions available to him/her to achieve his/her objectives, such as Shopmium to generate in-store/online sales in all Belgian stores.
